India, Feb. 6 -- Guar seed prices declined in futures trade on Friday as ample supplies weighed on market sentiment.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for March delivery fell by Rs 64, or 1.14 percent, to Rs 5,574 per quintal, with open interest standing at 41,435 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to increased arrivals from major growing regions, which led to surplus supply in the market and pressured prices.
