India, March 23 -- Guar seed prices fell by Rs 38 to Rs 5,414 per quintal in futures trade on Monday, driven by ample availability in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for April delivery dropped Rs 38, or 0.70 per cent, to Rs 5,414 per quintal, with an open interest of 47,175 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to rising supplies from key producing regions, which put pressure on prices.
