India, March 10 -- Guar seed futures fell on Tuesday, with prices dropping Rs 55 to Rs 5,557 per quintal due to ample supplies in the market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for April delivery slipped Rs 55, or 0.99 per cent, to Rs 5,557 per quintal, with an open interest of 43,295 lots.

Market participants said the decline in guar seed prices was mainly driven by increased arrivals and higher supplies from key producing regions.
