India, Jan. 21 -- Guar gum futures moved higher on Wednesday, with prices rising by Rs 70 to Rs 10,635 per quintal, as speculators increased their positions amid firm demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for February delivery advanced Rs 70, or 0.66 per cent, to trade at Rs 10,635 per quintal, with open interest standing at 56,980 lots.

The contract had settled at Rs 10,565 per quintal in the previous trading session.
