India, Jan. 29 -- Guar gum prices fell on Thursday, with futures declining Rs 70 to Rs 10,100 per quintal, as traders offloaded positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for February delivery slipped Rs 70, or 0.69 per cent, to Rs 10,100 per quintal, with open interest at 40,590 lots.
Market participants attributed the decline to sluggish demand in the spot market and ample supplies from key growing regions, which weighed on prices.
