India, Feb. 1 -- India's gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 6.2% year-on-year to cross Rs 1.93 lakh crore in January, driven largely by stronger revenues from imports, sources said on Sunday.

During the same period, total refunds declined 3.1% to Rs 22,665 crore.

Meanwhile, net GST revenues showed a healthier performance, rising 7.6% to approximately Rs 1.71 lakh crore, indicating steady underlying tax buoyancy.
