India, Jan. 22 -- Copper futures declined on Thursday, falling Rs 20.50 to Rs 1,287.85 per kg, as traders pared positions amid muted demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for February delivery eased by Rs 20.50, or 1.57 per cent, to Rs 1,287.85 per kg, with a business turnover of 10,570 lots.
Analysts said the decline in copper prices was largely due to reduced bets by market participants in the face of weak demand.
