India, Jan. 14 -- Copper prices in the futures market advanced on Wednesday, rising by Rs 12.40 to Rs 1,340.60 per kg, supported by higher demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for February delivery increased by Rs 12.40, or 0.93 per cent, to Rs 1,340.60 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 6,557 lots.
Analysts said the uptick in copper futures was driven by higher bets by market participants, reflecting improved demand conditions in the spot market.
