India, March 24 -- Copper prices fell by Rs 17.75 to Rs 1,119.90 per kg in futures trade on Tuesday, pressured by muted demand in the domestic spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for April delivery declined 1.56 per cent, or Rs 17.75, to Rs 1,119.90 per kg, with a business turnover of 1,338 lots.
Market participants attributed the decline to subdued demand from key consuming industries, which weighed on prices.
