India, Feb. 9 -- Antara Senior Care has announced the launch of its second senior care home in Chennai, scaling up its assisted living and transition care services in one of India's fastest-growing senior care markets. The new 72-bed facility is located along the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) corridor, strengthening Antara's footprint in the city alongside its existing care home on the East Coast Road (ECR).
The expansion comes at a time when nearly 14% of Tamil Nadu's population is aged 60 and above—the second-highest proportion in the country after Kerala. In urban centres, one in seven residents is a senior citizen, many of whom live alone or only with their spouse, highlighting the growing need for specialised ageing-friendly care...
