India, March 9 -- Aluminium prices on Monday climbed nearly 1.6 percent to Rs 348.85 per kg in futures trade as speculators built fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for April delivery rose by Rs 5.50, or 1.6 percent, to Rs 348.85 per kg, with a business turnover of 289 lots.
Analysts said renewed buying by traders, supported by steady demand from consuming industries, lifted aluminium futures.
