Sri Lanka, Oct. 8 -- The unbeaten Western Province badminton team emerged champions of the 35th National Youth Sports Festival 2025, organized by the National Youth Services Council (NYSC) in line with the government's Clean Sri Lanka Programme, held recently in Malabe.

The Western Province side displayed complete dominance throughout the two-day tournament, defeating Galle District in the final to secure the title. The champions advanced to the final after beating Mannar District in the semi-final and overcoming Gampaha District in the quarter-final.
