Sri Lanka, Sept. 29 -- The eagerly awaited football extravaganza, the inaugural Professional Football League (the "Super League") has already created ripples in the Sri Lankan sports industry. Ten selected clubs will participate and they are already vying with each other to secure the best players and coaches by offering attractive rates.

FFSL General Secretary Jaswar Umar said this is the first time in football history the players and coaches are offered high value for playing in the teams.

"Super League has already changed the way football is being perceived and I am happy that an unbelievable amount of investments is being made by the participating clubs even before a ball is kicked," said Jaswar Umar proudly.
