Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- Justice and National Integration Minister Harshana Nanayakkara, announced in Parliament yesterday that the President's Entitlements (Repeal) Bill has been brought today with the aim of eliminating the wanton waste of taxpayers' money.

He made this statement while participating in the debate on the Presidential Entitlements (Repeal) Bill - Second Reading in Parliament yesterday.

"Today, this Bill is being presented to repeal the Presidents Entitlements Act (No. 4 of 1986). Since the inception, our government, including the President, have been saying they will not depend on taxpayers monies. We are not the owners, we are only Trustees.
