Sri Lanka, Sept. 11 -- Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary MP Ranjith Madduma Bandara told Parliament yesterday (10) that steps will be taken to bring a No-Confidence Motion (NCM) against the Speaker after the No-Confidence Motion submitted by the Opposition against Deputy Defence Minister Major General (Retd.) Aruna Jayasekara was turned down by the Speaker.

The MP made this statement after a tense situation arose in the House following the Speaker's announcement of his decision on the No-Confidence Motion that was submitted by the Opposition in August to the Speaker against the Deputy Defence Minister.
