Sri Lanka, Aug. 4 -- On July 26, Vidullanka PLC and Wind Force inaugurated the 10MW Sooryashakthi solar power plant in Vavunativu, Batticaloa. The occasion was graced by Energy Minister Kumara Jayakody.

The event was also attended by Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority Chairman Prof. Wijendra Bandara, key personnel of the Ceylon Electricity Board, and other government authorities and representatives of both Vidullanka and Wind Force.

This project serves as a key achievement for both companies, who each hold a 50 percent equity stake. The plant is expected to generate and add 19.5 GWh of clean energy annually to the national grid.
