Sri Lanka, Dec. 12 -- Following a proposal submitted to Parliament by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on December 5, all liquor license fees have been increased by approximately 100%, effective immediately from today (12).

The gazette notification, signed by the President, specifies that annual excise duty fees, security deposits, and one-time industrial access charges have all been raised under the new regulation.
