Sri Lanka, July 19 -- The Department of Meteorology has forecast intermittent showers across several provinces of Sri Lanka. The Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts, are expected to experience frequent rainfall.

Fairly heavy showers exceeding 75 mm are likely in parts of Sabaragamuwa, as well as in Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy, Galle, and Matara.

Meanwhile, occasional showers are also expected in the Northern and North-Western provinces.

In addition to the rain, strong winds of 50-60 kmph are predicted over the western slopes of the central hills and in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, North-Western, and North-Central provinces. Other parts of the island may also experience fairly strong w...
