Sri Lanka, Jan. 31 -- Under the theme of 'Prelude to a strong future', the national ceremony of awarding 10,000 title deeds to farmers under the Urumaya programme introduced through this year's Budget, will be held on February 5, at the Dambulla Rangiri Stadium, under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Targeting two million farming families as expected beneficiaries, the main objective under the Urumaya programme is to award free title deeds for government lands being enjoyed by them.
