Sri Lanka, Dec. 12 -- As part of a government initiative in response to the current disaster situation and the upcoming festive season, pregnant mothers will receive a one-time nutrition allowance of Rs. 5,000.

The allowance is available to mothers registered at maternity clinics up to November 30, 2025 and will be distributed through Divisional Secretariats starting December 16.

The program is organized by the National Secretariat for Early Childhood Development under the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs.
