Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has decided to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the assets of senior officials in a number of government institutions, including the Police, the Tri-Forces, the Prisons Department, Sri Lanka Customs and the Immigration and Emigration Department.

The Commission also stated that internal investigations have already been initiated regarding some of the officers of these institutions based on complaints that revealed links between them and organised criminals.
