Srilanka, May 13 -- In collaboration with the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre in Colombo and the Bihar Museum in Patna, India, the High Commission of India in Colombo is presenting a special exhibition titled "Dhamma Roopa" at the Seemamalaka premises of the Gangaramaya Temple, as part of the Colombo Buddha Rashmi National Vesak Festival.
The exhibition was inaugurated yesterday (May 12) by Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, together with the High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, Mr. Santosh Jha, who jointly opened the "Dhamma Roopa" exhibition.
"Dhamma Roopa" showcases a rich collection of rare and symbolic Buddhist images from India, with photographs of sculptures dating from the 1st century BCE to the 11th century CE. These...
