Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Minister Vijitha Herath has stated that action will be taken in the future regarding the contempt of court over statements describing the decision to arrest former President Ranil Wickremesinghe as a "decision of Pelawatta."
The Minister made these remarks today during a media briefing held to announce recent cabinet decisions. He said, "The Magistrate has issued an order regarding statements made in a manner that influenced the judiciary. Action will be taken in accordance with the law."
