Uganda, Oct. 25 -- As the dates for presidential nominations draw closer, the Electoral Commission Sunday said they had verified supporters of President Yoweri Museveni (NRM), Ms Nancy Linda Kalembe (Independent) and two other aspiring candidates.
The other two aspirants whose supporters were verified are Mr Fred Mwesigye and Mr Henry Tumukunde Kakurugu, both Independents.
However, supporters of Mr Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine (National Unity Platform) and 17 others are still under verification, according to EC.
"The verification of supporters of 18 others aspiring candidates who have submitted their lists is still ongoing," the EC said in a statement.
