Srilanka, March 17 -- The representatives of the National Steering Committee on Elimination of Child Labour agreed that immediate and effective steps must be taken to ensure the complete elimination of child labour from the country.
The decision was announced at the first meeting held at the Labour Ministry recently.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the National Steering Committee and Labour Ministry Secretary S.M. Piyatissa, presented a number of ideas and proposals related to the elimination of child labour from Sri Lanka.
