Srilanka, Oct. 11 -- Sri Lankan luxury hotel operator Resplendent Ceylon yesterday shared that all three of its properties have received Michelin Key distinctions, a new global benchmark for hospitality excellence, positioning the island nation on the world's luxury travel map.

Resplendent Ceylon is part of the Dilmah Tea family's hospitality arm.

Ceylon Tea Trails, a collection of colonial-era tea planters' bungalows in the central highlands, was awarded three Michelin Keys, the highest recognition. Wild Coast Tented Lodge in Yala National Park earned two Keys, while the cliff-top Cape Weligama resort on the southern coast received one Key, the company said in a statement.
