Sri Lanka, Nov. 18 -- President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa today said he would form a government that can implement his policies to create a prosperous country.

Addressing the nation following the swearing-in-ceremony in Anuradhapura, he said he was committed to implementing the people-friendly manifesto.

The President said priority would be given to national security under his administration and requested all communities to join hands with him in the journey towards a prosperous Sri Lanka.

"We want to be neutral in our foreign relations and stay out of any conflict amongst the world powers. We will have our fullest commitment to achieve the sustainable development goals of the United Nations," he said.
