Srinagar, Oct. 17 -- The recent airstrikes carried out by Pakistan against suspected terrorist facilities inside Afghanistan were meant to salvage Pakistan army chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir's image. Data released by South Asia Terrorism Portal [SATP] reveals that while 790 incidents of terrorism occurred during 2024 in which 754 security force personnel lost their lives, in a span of just ten-and-a-half months [January 1 to October 14, 2025], the number of terrorist attacks increased to 829 claiming the lives of 940 security force personnel.
