Srinagar, Nov. 14 -- The Gujjar community, often known as Gujjars, is one of the oldest and most culturally rich pastoral groups in the Indian subcontinent. Spread across Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh the Gujjars have preserved their heritage, traditions, and deep bond with nature for centuries. The origins of the Gujjars trace back to the early medieval period.
