Srinagar, July 17 -- Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, today called for introduction of new trekking trails to promote eco-friendly tourism in Jammu & Kashmir. The motive behind the initiative is to offer the tourists a closer experience of wilderness and virgin trekking routes of the Union Territory. During a meeting held at Civil Secretariat here, the Minister emphasised upon collaborative efforts between Forest department and Tribal Affairs Department for promotion of eco-tourism, aimed at diversification of trekking routes.
