Dhaka, Dec. 30 -- World leaders, neighbouring states and diplomatic missions have expressed condolences following the death of Khaleda Zia, a three-time prime minister and one of the most influential figures in Bangladesh's political history.
On Tuesday, condolence messages poured in from South Asia, East Asia, Europe, North America and the Middle East, acknowledging her long political career and her role in shaping Bangladesh's modern political landscape.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was "deeply saddened" by the passing of the former leader, offering condolences to her family and the people of Bangladesh.
