Dhaka, March 15 -- Two construction workers have died after a wall collapsed on them in Sirajganj.

Three others were injured in the incident that occurred in Shahednagar Byapari Para during excavation work for a drainage system, according to Abdur Rahman, deputy director of Sirajganj Fire Service.

"Workers were digging nearly five feet underground for drain construction when a six to seven-foot-high wall from a nearby house suddenly collapsed, burying five of them under the rubble," said Rahman.

Firefighters and locals rushed to the scene and managed to clear the debris. The trapped workers were rescued and taken to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital.
