Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of ousted Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina, says that a report on her resignation letter published in an Indian newspaper is 'fabricated'.
On micro-blogging site X, he wrote on Sunday: "The recent resignation statement attributed to my mother published in a newspaper is completely false and fabricated. I have just confirmed with her that she did not make any statement either before or since leaving Dhaka."
Indian media outlet The Print wrote on Sunday that Hasina had sent a message to the Awami League's supporters blaming the US for the overthrowing of her government and saying that she left the country to prevent the death of people and the damage to property.
