Dhaka, March 18 -- Anindita Datta, an associate professor at Bangladesh Medical University and daughter of former vice-chancellor of the university, Pran Gopal Datta, has filed a police complaint after being confined at her workplace for nearly six hours.
Shahbagh Police Station chief Khalid Mansur said, "Anindita sent a man around noon. She wanted to file a complaint, feeling threatened. We accepted it."
Anindita, an associate professor in the Department of Radiology and Imaging, works in the university's F Block, known as the Cancer Bhaban.
Prof Gopal served as vice-chancellor of the university, formerly known as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, or BSMMU, from 2009 to 2015.
