Dhaka, Dec. 10 -- BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, admitted to Dhaka's Evercare Hospital, is still receiving treatment as before, her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain said.

Outside the hospital on Wednesday night, he reassured that "she can continue or maintain her treatment".

"The doctors are providing it [treatment], she is able to accept it, and she is genuinely responding to it," he said.

Dr Zahid appealed to the public not to spread rumours about her condition.

"Do not spread any false information that may create confusion. We want to say, Madam is under ICU care and receiving the highest level of treatment necessary for a critically ill patient. I earnestly request everyone, through you, not to pay attention to any rumours," ...
