Bangladesh, Sept. 2 -- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has visited Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP), and Khandaker Lutfur Rahman, chief of a Jatiya Ganatantrik Party (JAGPA) faction -- both currently under hospital care following separate violent incidents.

On Tuesday, Fakhrul first visited Dhaka Medical College Hospital to see Nur, who suffered injuries during a baton charge by joint forces against a GOP procession on Aug 29 near the Jatiya Party's Kakrail office.

The BNP leader met with hospital staff to receive updates on Nur's condition and also spoke privately with the former DUCSU vice president.
