Dhaka, March 1 -- Police have released three students on bond after fining them for allegedly vandalising a hotel and a grocery shop in Sirajganj's Tarash Upazila.

The incident took place at Khalkula Bazar along the Natore-Bonpara Highway on Saturday morning, Tarash Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Nazmul Kader said.

The detainees have been identified as Aminul Islam, 25, Abdullah Al Noman, 25, and Reza Rabbani Habib, 24.

"We settled the matter through discussions with both parties. The three coordinators were released on Saturday afternoon after signing a bond," said Inspector Nazmul.

He added, "They were also fined Tk 7,000 as compensation for the damage.
