United Kingdom, Aug. 27 -- Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra could reportedly ship with a smaller battery than its the S25 Ultra.

According to new certification filings by China's Quality Certification Center, the S26 Ultra may feature a 4,855mAh unit - down from the Galaxy S25 Ultra's 5,000mAh capacity.

While the difference appears marginal, it has raised eyebrows among fans who were expecting Samsung to maintain or even expand battery size with its next flagship.

Industry analysts have suggested the change may be linked to design considerations.

The S26 Ultra is rumoured to sport a slimmer frame and new internal architecture, which could have required Samsung to slightly cut back on battery space.
