United Kingdom, Dec. 17 -- 'Borderlands 4' will pull back on toilet humour.

The action-RPG series has become renowned for its potty jokes, and after 'Borderlands 4' received its first gameplay trailer at last week's (12.12.24) Game Awards, Gearbox Software narrative director Sam Winkler has insisted the upcoming title will dial down on its bathroom humour.

On X (formally Twitter), the developer wrote: "[I'm] not at liberty to talk much about the content of 'BL4', but I remain firm in my criticism of 'BL3's overabundance of toilet humor."

Winkler added he would "cry real tears" if internet memes like skibidi toilet and hawh tuah found their way into the game.

He penned: "I'm not gonna say there's no toilets but if the word skibidi ship...
