NEW SOUTH WALES COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT ON ROBERT BRESSAN V/S COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, NSW POLICE FORCE CASE

Australia, May 23 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement on April 23:

1. Robert Bressan (the Applicant) has held firearms licences in a number of categories at various times from 1998, and most recently held a category ABG firearms licence under the Firearms Act 1996 (NSW) (the Act) which expired on 18 October 2023.

2. On 8 November 2023, the Applicant lodged an application for a category AB firearms licence (Application).

3. On 16 November 2023, a decision was made by the Respondent to refuse the Application.

4. On 10 December 2023, the Applicant applied for an internal review of the Respondent's decision and on 2 January 2024, the Respondent affirmed the decision to refuse the Application ...
