NEW SOUTH WALES COURT ISSUES JUDGEMENT FOR NSW LOCAL GOVERNMENT, CLERICAL, ADMINISTRATIVE, ENERGY, AIRLINES & UTILITIES UNION V CESSNOCK CITY COUNCIL [2025] NSWIRCOMM 1008 CASE

Australia, April 19 -- New South Wales Land and Environment Court issued text of the following judgement March 19:

1. On 11 February 2025 the New South Wales Local Government, Clerical, Administrative, Energy, Airlines & Utilities Union ("USU") notified the Commission of an industrial dispute pursuant to s 130 of the Industrial Relations Act 1996 (NSW) (the "Act").

2. In the notification the USU sought the assistance of the Commission in negotiation for an enterprise agreement with Cessnock City Council (the "Council").

3. This dispute was listed for a compulsory conference on 17 February 2025, during which the parties informed the Commission that an in-principle agreement had reached in relation to the terms of an enterprise agreement. ...
