AGARTALA, April 7 -- The 45-year-old woman, who has been confirmed as the first COVID-19 patient in Tripura, had visited Guwahati and stayed at two hotels - one near the Kamakhya temple and another at Paltan Bazar - from March 15 to 17.

The doctors who are attending on her, suspect she was either infected in Guwahati or while travelling in the Tripureshwari Express from Guwahati to Agartala.

Revealing her travel history, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said the woman, who hails from Udaipur subdivision of Gomati district, had been in Guwahati and returned home on March 19.
