New Delhi, April 25 -- Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju departed for Vatican City with President Droupadi Murmu to attend Pope Francis's state funeral.

He said that the delegation also includes Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs and Fisheries George Kurian and Goa's Deputy Speaker Joshua Peter De Souza.

"Leaving for Rome (Vatican City) with Hon'ble President Smt Droupadi Murmu Ji to attend the State Funeral of His Holiness Pope Francis and offer condolences on behalf of the Govt and people of India. MoS @GeorgekurianBjp & Dy. Speaker of Goa @Joshua_De_Souza in the delegation," Rijiju posted on X.
