Chennai, June 7 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin extended heartfelt Eid al-Adha greetings to the Muslim community on Saturday, emphasising the values of sacrifice and sharing that the festival represents, according to a CMO statement.
In his message, Stalin said, "My heartfelt greetings to all the Muslim brothers and sisters who are celebrating Bakrid, which celebrates the virtue of sacrifice and sharing!"
He added, "Bakrid is one of two great festivals for Muslims. It is celebrated by wearing new clothes and distributing food to the poor and friends."
