Mulugu, Dec. 24 -- Telangana Minister Anasuya Seethakka has officially called on the Union Government to grant national status to the Sammakka Sarakka Jatara, widely recognised as Asia's largest tribal congregation. Speaking ahead of the event scheduled for late January in the Mulugu district, the Minister highlighted the lack of central funding for Adivasi traditions and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to grant formal federal recognition to the historic festival.
