Jaipur, July 11 -- Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari offered prayers at the historic Shri Rajrajeshwar Shiva Temple, located within the City Palace in Jaipur, marking the auspicious beginning of the holy month of 'Sawan'.
On the occasion, she performed Jal and Dugdha Abhishek (ritual bathing with water and milk) of Lord Shiva and prayed for the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state. 'Sawan' is the fifth month of the Hindu lunar calendar, and is considered one of the holiest months in Hinduism.
