Guwahati (Assam), Oct. 13 -- : Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati on Monday and requested IIT Guwahati to provide support for 5G Communications and other vital technologies.
IIT Guwahati submitted a proposal to MoS to establish a Center for Excellence in Advanced Communication to develop specific areas of next-generation communication systems.
The Minister was shown the Supercomputer facility Param-Ishan and its capabilities for multiple scientific, technological, weather forecasting and healthcare applications was demonstrated.
