New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju has targeted leader Rahul Gandhi and other party leaders over their remarks on VD Savarkar and recalled that Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had described him as a "remarkable son of India."

Rijiju's remarks came on a day Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Marseille in France, a city where Sarvarkar attempted a courageous escape.

"Congress Party keeps insulting Veer Savarkar. Can Congress Party condemn Indira Gandhi for praising Veer Savarkar," Rijiju said on X, attaching letter sent by Indira Gandhi.
