Gandhinagar, July 7 -- Gujarat has recorded a notable increase of 241.29 sq kms in tree cover outside notified forest areas, making it a leader in this field across the country, according to the Forest Survey of India (FSI) 2023 report released by the Central Government.

According to the official statement, guided by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and with the steadfast support of eco-conscious citizens and voluntary organisations, Gujarat has further excelled in its forestry efforts.
