New Delhi, Feb. 12 -- The Delhi High Court on Thursday urged the Ministry of External Affairs to have a meeting with Retired Major Vikrant Jaitly and get the power of attorney signed in favour of an Emirati law firm Khalid Al Maree. The Central Government has issued a letter to firm to represent Vikrant Jaitly.

The High Court is considering a petition filed by actor Celina Jaitly seeking legal assistance for her brother, Retired Major Vikrant Jaitly, who has been detained in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for almost 18 months.

Justice Purushaindra Kumar Kaurav heard the petitioner, Celina Jaitly and Vikrant's wife Charul Jaitly. Thereafter, the bench passed the direction to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
